The Energy Compass is a Future Energy Leaders project chaired by Future Energy Leaders, the Netherlands. It focuses on engaging citizens in the global and regional energy dialogue by providing a platform for citizens to get expert answers and insights on energy matters.
Featured as an interactive map tool, it will leverage the vast expertise of the World Energy Council’s (WEC) youth-network of the global and national FELs across 65+ countries. The Energy Compass will offer end-users (i.e citizens) simplified and tailored expert responses to their energy-related queries.
Insights from citizen interaction will be gathered and compiled into quarterly policy briefs, translating into actionable recommendations for enhanced energy transition planning.
Ultimately, the Energy Compass will serve as a bridge between citizens and energy leaders delivering valuable insights to the public and policy makers. The tool was officially launched at the 26th World Energy Congress in Rotterdam.
